Jena Forsberg

Internet Marketing Associate

Roles & Responsibilities:

As an Internet Marketing Associate, my roles and responsibilities revolve around managing and continually optimizing client’s websites. Through various Search Engine Optimization techniques, blog writing, and collaboration with the client, I strive to make my clients as visible as possible. The more visibility we are able to gain, the faster the client will be able to grow their business and succeed.

Key Accomplishments:

My greatest accomplishment, thus far, was graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno this past May. I received my degree in Accounting and Information Systems and finished at the top of my class, graduating Cum Laude. Although I am now in a different section of the business industry than what I graduated with, I have found a great interest in marketing and have still been able to use knowledge from my college career. I hope to return to school someday to get my MBA!

At OCG, most proud of:

One of my favorite things about OCG is the incredible team of individuals I work with. The OCG team is comprised of a diverse group of people with all different kinds of academic backgrounds, skills, and interests. If I’m not sure how to do something, there is always someone with experience in that area who is more than willing to help. I am also very proud of the growth I have witnessed, in myself and the company, as a whole. During my time at OCG, I have had the opportunity to learn so much and have been able to watch this company nearly double in size.

Describe favorite client:

My favorite clients are those who are passionate about what they do and are excited to work with our team to help grow their business. When the client is as engaged in building their web presence as we are, the results are incredible.

Describe the “agency of the future”:

Similar to many industries in the business world, the online marketing industry is constantly evolving. The agency of the future should always strive to be ahead of the curve, rather than attempting to play “catch up.” It is always better to be prepared for the change and ready to act, not react

With my past positions, college courses, and time at OCG, I have gained a great interest in web design and development. My last year of college, I took courses that allowed me to learn the basics of HMTL, CSS, and Javascript. As I have been able to use some of these skills in my daily work, my interest and abilities in coding have grown. I’ve had the opportunity to test my capabilities by building email templates, landing pages, and other website pages.

Other Interests:

I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, and finding new things to do in Reno. I have always enjoyed doing things outside like boating, hiking, going to the snow and attending sporting events.
